The Einhell TE-SM 36/210 is a cordless sliding mitre saw for DIYers and hobby woodworkers who already use Einhell's Power X-Change batteries. It combines two 18 V packs to run at 36 V. What sets it apart in our cordless mitre saw guide is the wide 310 mm crosscut from a compact 210 mm blade, thanks to the slide, at a listed weight of 12.6 kg.

Our take
What Einhell lists
The saw has a smooth pull out slide for wider boards, a carbide tipped precision blade designed for cordless saws with a thin body for less drag, and X-Tend workpiece supports that adjust by hand without tools. A cutting line laser and an LED light help you place the cut. Dust goes into a bag, or you can connect an extractor through the supplied adapter.
The highlights give 65 x 310 mm cut capacity and a 210 mm blade. The head tilts up to 45 degrees to the left, and the turntable has precise angle adjustment for mitres. A clamp holds the workpiece.
Running on two PXC packs
Einhell says all batteries from its PXC lithium ion range work with the saw. Two are needed at once, and neither is included, nor is a charger. If you own PXC garden tools or drills, you may already have suitable packs. If not, the cost of two batteries and a charger should be part of your budget.
Larger packs will give more cuts per charge; the listing does not give a cut count.
Capacity in practice
A 65 mm depth handles skirting, architrave, decking boards and most planed timber. A 310 mm width covers shelving boards and wide floorboards. It will not cut a 75 mm or 100 mm square post in one pass. The bevel is left only, so for compound mitres on crown moulding you will sometimes flip the workpiece.
Next to the other cordless saws
The Evolution R185SMS-Li is smaller, at 210 x 58 mm, and runs on Erbauer EXT batteries. The Metabo KGS 18 LTX BL 216 is the kit option with a 4 Ah pack and charger, though its listing omits cut capacity. For trade level capacity, the DeWalt DCS782N lists 310 x 90 mm but weighs 34 kg.
Verdict
Buy the TE-SM 36/210 if you already own Einhell PXC packs and want a light sliding saw with good width for home projects. Newcomers without batteries should consider the Metabo KGS 18 LTX BL 216 kit, and trades who need deeper cuts should look at the DeWalt DCS782N.
