Our take
Motor and chuck
Bosch lists a brushless motor delivering 64 Nm and 2,100 rpm. A 13 mm metal chuck is listed for robustness and good torque transfer. That torque is enough for most hole saws in timber, long screws and hammer drilling for wall plugs and frame fixings.
It is a clear step up from the 45 Nm GSB 18V-45 while staying smaller than the 110 Nm flagship.
For a kit buyer, 4.0 Ah packs are a sensible middle size. They give noticeably longer runtime than 2.0 Ah packs while keeping the drill lighter than it would be with the largest ProCORE batteries fitted, which helps on overhead work.
Switchable control features
KickBack Control and a Precision Clutch are both listed as switchable. Kickback control cuts power when the drill twists suddenly, which is useful with larger bits. The precision clutch helps with consistent screw depth. Being able to turn each off gives flexibility for jobs where you want the drill to push through.
