This Bosch Professional kit pairs the GSB 18V-45 combi drill with the GBH 18V-22 SDS plus hammer, two 4.0 Ah batteries, a GAL 18V-40 charger and a tool bag. It suits home renovators and light trades who want a drill for screws and wood plus a proper SDS for masonry. The draw is the pairing: one battery platform, two tools that split the work sensibly.

In its favour
- The GBH 18V-22 is described as ideal for 6 to 10 mm holes, with KickBack and Vibration Control.
- Includes a second drill, the GSB 18V-45, for wood up to 35 mm and screws.
- Two 4.0 Ah AMPShare batteries and the GAL 18V-40 charger are in the bag.
Good to know
- Impact energy is not given in the listing, so compare with Bosch's spec sheet.
- A larger outlay than a single SDS drill if you already own a combi drill.
Our take
The two tools
Bosch gives the GSB 18V-45 a maximum hard torque of 45 Nm, 1,900 rpm and a 13 mm metal chuck. It can drive screws up to 10 mm and drill wood up to 35 mm. The GBH 18V-22 is described as ideal for 6 to 10 mm holes, with KickBack Control to stop it twisting if a bit jams and Vibration Control to reduce strain on hands and arms.
For clean drilling, the GBH 18V-22 can be connected to the GDE 18V-12 dust extraction attachment, which is not included.
Batteries and AMPShare
Two 4.0 Ah packs are a good middle size: lighter than 5 Ah but with much more run time than the 2 Ah packs in the standalone GSB 18V-45 kit. Bosch says the batteries and charger work across the Bosch Professional 18 V system and many AMPShare tools from other brands, so the packs can later run a saw or grinder.
The listing does not give impact energy for the SDS drill, so compare it with care against tools that do.
Is this better than a single SDS or combi?
If you already own a combi drill, buying a bare SDS such as the Bosch GBH 18V-22 or DeWalt DCH263N may make more sense. If you are starting out and expect to drill masonry often, two tools on one battery system avoid constant bit changes and give each job the right tool.
In the power tool kits guide, the Makita DLX2278 offers a similar pairing of SDS and combi drill but is sold bare.
What it does not cover
There is no impact driver, so long decking screws and coach bolts are slower. The SDS drill is aimed at holes up to 10 mm, so large anchors and core work need a bigger tool.
Verdict
Buy this kit if you want a light combi drill and a compact SDS drill on one Bosch battery platform, with batteries and charger included. If you already own a drill, a bare SDS like the DeWalt DCH263N is a better buy, and LXT owners should look at the Makita DLX2278.
