Filtration and class

Trend states M class certification with 99.9 percent filtration efficiency for fine dust and all wood types. A Class M HEPA filter rated H13 is listed in the box. Trend suggests it for general site use, vehicle cleaning and power tool applications.

The 1,200 W motor runs at 240 V.

Wet pick up and capacity

The T33A handles wet and dry material, with an auto stop function that cuts suction when the liquid capacity is reached. The heavy duty drum holds 25 litres dry. That is the smallest drum among the mains extractors in our guide, so it suits lighter jobs or regular emptying.

Wet pick up is handy after core drilling with water or for clearing a flooded floor, but the filter should be dry before you go back to fine dust, or it will clog quickly.

Keeping suction up

A filter cleaning button vibrates the HEPA cartridge to clear dust from the filter, hoses and tools. It needs you to press it, unlike the automatic system on the T35A. An extraction velocity LED monitors blockages and remaining bag capacity, which is a useful prompt to clean or empty before suction drops.

Accessories

Trend includes a 5 m flexible hose, a high efficiency floor brush, a hard floor brush, a round brush, a crevice tool, a curved metal tube and two metal tubes. The unit has a compact container, integrated carry handle and oversized rear wheels. The listed weight is 8.9 kg.

T33A or T35A

The T35A adds automatic filter cleaning, more power, a 27 litre drum and a 7 m hose. If you sand or chase for long periods, that upgrade is worth it. The T33A suits occasional or lighter dust work.

For anyone who sands only now and then, the button system is easy to live with: a couple of presses every few minutes keeps the cartridge clear enough for most jobs.
