The M18FPD2 is Milwaukee's Fuel percussion drill, built for trades who bore big holes and drive long fixings every day. It has the highest torque figure in our combi drill kit guide at 135 Nm, from a brushless POWERSTATE motor. This listing pairs it with one M18B5 5.0 Ah pack and an M12-18FC charger that also takes M12 batteries.

In its favour
- 135 Nm of torque is the highest figure in this guide, useful for self feed bits and large hole saws.
- Listing includes a 5 Ah M18 battery and a charger that also takes M12 packs.
- The listing mentions a 3 year UK and EU warranty.
Good to know
- Only one battery is listed, so you will wait for a recharge on long days unless you buy a second pack.
- The model code ends in -0, which normally means body only; confirm the battery and charger with the seller before ordering.
Our take
What Milwaukee lists
The bullets name the M18FPD2-0 drill, one 5 Ah M18B5 battery and the M12-18FC charger, plus a three year UK and EU warranty. Specs give 135 Nm, up to 2,000 rpm, a 13 mm chuck and a brushless motor. The listed drilling capacities of 13 mm in wood and metal are probably incomplete for a drill of this class.
The -0 suffix is Milwaukee's code for a bare tool. Since the title and bullets include a battery and charger, this appears to be a seller bundle. Confirm the contents before ordering.
What 135 Nm buys you
High torque matters when a large self feed bit or hole saw bites into timber. A weaker drill slows or stalls, while a high torque drill keeps turning. For kitchen fitters cutting worktop holes or electricians boring joists, that difference saves time.
The flip side is kickback. At this output a binding bit can wrench the drill hard, so a side handle and a firm grip are essential. The listing does not mention whether a side handle is supplied.
Against DeWalt and Milwaukee alternatives
The DeWalt DCD996P2 offers 95 Nm, three speeds and two 5 Ah packs, so it trails on torque but gives you a spare battery. The Milwaukee M18 FPD3-0 is the newer Fuel percussion drill at the same 135 Nm, sold bare. If you already own M18 packs, the FPD3 is the cheaper route to the same output.
The Milwaukee M18 BPD-402C is the standard M18 option at 60 Nm, suited to lighter work.
Single battery limits
With one pack, you either pause to recharge or buy a second battery. For full days on site, a second M18 pack is almost essential. The upside of the M12-18FC charger is that it also charges Milwaukee's smaller M12 packs, so one charger can serve both ranges if you add M12 tools later.
Verdict
Buy the M18FPD2 bundle if you need maximum drilling torque and are building into the M18 system with a three year warranty. If you want two batteries from the start, the DeWalt DCD996P2 is the better kit, and existing M18 owners should look at the bare M18 FPD3-0.
