The GAS 35 L SFC+ is Bosch's L class 35 litre extractor with semi automatic filter cleaning. It shares the 1,380 W turbine and 254 mbar vacuum pressure of the AFC model, but you clean the filter yourself with one hand instead of the machine doing it. It suits woodworkers and DIYers who want a solid Bosch extractor and do not mind a quick manual step.

Our take
Suction and certification
Bosch lists certified dust class L to EU standards, a 1,380 W suction turbine and a high vacuum pressure of 254 mbar. It handles wet and dry pick up, with a 35 litre container. L class is suitable for general and softwood dust, while M class is usually required on sites for hardwood, MDF and mineral dust.
SFC+ filter cleaning
Semi automatic filter cleaning lets you clean the filter quickly and easily with one hand, according to the listing. In practice that means a short pause to restore suction when it drops, rather than continuous cleaning. For occasional sanding or sawing in a workshop, that is a reasonable trade for a lower outlay than the AFC model.
In the box
Bosch includes a cellulose flat pleated filter, a 35 mm crevice tool, a disposal bag, an elbow, a floor nozzle set, a 3 m hose with a power tool adaptor and three 0.35 m extension pipes. The 3 m hose is shorter than the 5 m hose on the AFC models, which limits reach from a fixed spot.
Whether a power socket for automatic tool switching is fitted is not mentioned for the SFC+ model.
Weight and handling
The specs give 5.26 kg, far lighter than the AFC models, although that figure may not include all accessories. Two handles are listed for carrying.
Lower weight makes it easier to carry between a garage workshop and the house, or to lift onto a bench next to a mitre saw.
Which Bosch to choose
The GAS 35 L AFC adds automatic filter cleaning and a longer hose. The GAS 35 M AFC adds M class and a confirmed tool socket. The SFC+ is the entry point for wood workshops.
Verdict
The GAS 35 L SFC+ suits workshops and DIYers who mainly produce wood dust and are happy to clean the filter by hand. If you sand for long periods, the GAS 35 L AFC is worth the step up, and for site work with mineral dust choose the GAS 35 M AFC or the Trend T35A.
